A helical hanging gearbox (also called a suspension-mounted helical reducer) combines helical gear technology with a suspended, rather than floor- or frame-mounted, installation style. Instead of needing a fixed foundation or base plate on the ground, the unit hangs directly from the driven equipment or an overhead support structure — commonly used in conveyor systems, mixers, and other machinery where floor space is limited or a compact, overhead layout is preferred.
